Registration Link: https://coronadoroughwaterswim.redpodium.com/2019-western-zone-championships

Registration will close  promptly at 12 pm on 27 September 2019.

Ages of Athletes: The age of an athlete is determined by the athlete’s age at the start of the competition - 29 September 2019. All athletes must compete within their respective age group and are only eligible for events offered to his/ her’s age (ex. a 12 year old may not compete in the 5km race because minimum age requirement is 13). However if swimmers meet minimum age requirements for an event that offers an Open Division, athletes may choose to compete in the open division. (ex. a 13 year old in the 5km race may choose to compete in the open division, in leu of swimming in the 13 - 14 age group category)

Ages for Relays: Younger swimmers may swim in a relay in an older age group if the younger swimmers are needed to form a relay in the older age group. This cannot be done if: (1) eligible swimmers (any swimmer participating in the meet) exist in the older age group or (2) the younger swimmer is replacing a swimmer that has already been moved to an older age group. Swimmers may not swim more that two age groups higher than their age group. Only two relays per age group may contain younger swimmers and at least two swimmer in the relay containing the younger swimmers must be from the age group. The referee and the opponent’s coach must know of these changes before the event is swum.

Individual Event Entries:  LSCs and/or teams may choose to register all their swimmers in a single transaction with our online registration software below or swimmers may enter individually . If LSCs/ Teams cannot send a coach representative with their swimmer/s but have athletes who would like to compete, after the athlete registers please contact coachtroyn@gmail.com and Coronado Swim Association will ensure those athletes have appropriate coaching oversight and receive all appropriate  information regarding the safe execution of their races. If swimmers are registering for an event individually and require a coach representative please select "I need a coach" during registration and again CSA will gladly assist any swimmers in need of a coaching representative. Please know all athletes attending the event without a coach/ LSC representative will still proudly represent his/her LSC during the championship.

Relay Event Entries: Only LSCs and Teams may enter athletes for the relay events. Relay entries will be done online and during registration LSCs/Coaches will form a team (with "create a team" function). Step-by-step instructions for entering relays is available in the Relay Registration section below. LSCs and Swim Teams may enter as many relays as desired per age group but ONLY THE TOP TWO relay teams will  score for the LSC. Top Two Open Relays per LSC will also score.
